Team: Live Games / Data Team

About the role

We are looking for a senior, product-minded data person to own game analytics end-to-end: from event design and data modeling to dashboards, experimentation support, and deep-dive analysis. This is not a narrow reporting role. You will shape how game teams use data, improve how we run experiments, and turn raw telemetry into reliable decision-making systems. You will work closely with game designers, developers, UA, and leadership, and become the primary data partner for our game teams.

Your mission

Your mission is to make game analytics a scalable product instead of a constant support function.
Concretely, this means:

  • owning the game analytics domain
  • building and evolving our analytics data models
  • improving our experimentation and analysis frameworks (CUPED, Causal ML,…)
  • creating reliable, self-serve dashboards and metrics (Superset, Google Looker Studio)
  • enabling game teams to answer questions without friction

What you’ll do

Own game analytics end-to-end

  • Design and evolve game event schemas together with developers.
  • Build and maintain analytics data models on BigQuery using Bruin (our dbt-like transformation layer).
  • Define and standardize core game metrics and dimensions.
  • Ensure data quality, trust, and usability for game teams.

Build analytics products

  • Create and maintain dashboards for game analytics and A/B testing (Superset, Looker Studio).
  • Develop reusable analysis templates and workflows.
  • Turn recurring questions into robust data products.

Lead experimentation and analysis

  • Support experiment design with game designers.
  • Own experiment analysis and readouts.
  • Improve our experimentation framework (e.g. CUPED, guardrails, best practices, methodology).

Partner with game teams

  • Act as the primary data partner for one or more game teams.
  • Perform deep-dive analyses into player behavior, features, economy, and progression.
  • Translate ambiguous product questions into measurable frameworks.

Contribute to the data platform

  • Collaborate on data architecture and roadmap.
  • Improve self-serve, documentation, and metric layers.
  • Review pipelines and models across the data team.

Our data stack

  • BigQuery (Firebase analytics)
  • Snowflake (UA & business data)
  • Bruin for transformations (dbt-like tool)
  • Superset & Looker Studio for dashboards
  • Python for analysis and modeling

What we’re looking for

Must-haves

  • 4+ years experience in data science, analytics engineering, or product analytics.
  • Strong SQL and data modeling skills.
  • Experience working closely with product or game teams.
  • Solid foundation in statistics and experiment analysis.
  • Ability to own ambiguous problems end-to-end.

Nice to have

  • Experience in gaming, mobile apps, or consumer products.
  • Experience designing or improving experimentation frameworks.
  • Hands-on experience building analytics layers with dbt or similar tools (Bruin, dbt, etc.).
  • Knowledge of causal inference, variance reduction, or behavioral analytics.
  • Experience building self-serve analytics layers or metric systems.

You’ll thrive here if you:

  • enjoy combining technical depth with product thinking
  • want ownership, not tickets
  • are comfortable being the “data person” for a domain
  • like small teams where your work directly shapes the company

What we offer

  • A senior, high-ownership role with direct product impact
  • A modern lightweight analytics stack and freedom to shape it
  • The opportunity to define how data and experimentation work in our studio
  • Competitive compensation and highly flexible, fully remote position
